Grammar

in the possessive or not?

Hi,

(1) This functionality is not available on the client side
(2) This functionality is not available on the client-side
(3) This functionality is not available on the client's side
(4) This functionality is not available on a client's side

If you could comment on these "variants"?
Which are grammatical and common?
Which are grammatical yet less common?

I have not been able to find (by googling) any examples with "available on a client's side" in the Internet. What is wrong with (4)?

Thank you!

MUSCOVITE If you could comment on these "variants"? Personally, I don't like this new biz-speak phrase "on the — side'; it is rather unattractive and quite unnecessary. (1) This functionality is not available to the client.

That's why I think it is hardly possible to get rid of "on the client/user/server/etc side" construct alto

Well, I have offered my advice. It is truly extraordinary how many translators I have met who have no control over how they translate. It is a wonder.
