Hi Canadian 45,

Thanks for answering my questions. I copied those from abc news.

Does in the path and on the path have to do with British and American English?

I understand "in the path of the storm" as "in the way of the storm". But I see a lot of "....on the path", maybe it exist for a meaning?

You are in my way. = You block my way.

I am on my way. = I am coming.

1. 65 million people in its(the storm's) path.

2. There's a large area of the coast that may be impacted by the dangerous storm surge on its path(the coming dangerous storm surge).
