Hi, I'm not sure whether "in the morning" can be used in the present or past tense sentence.

Hi,
in the morning is a very flexible adverb, which means it can modify almost all sentences and verbs. One example of an adverb you can't always use the way you want is yesterday, for example. I will go to New York yesterday<-- This is incorrect, it doesn't make sense, right?
But you can use in the morning with every tense. Examples:
I
