An image or a visual speaks a thousand words than what words do is a famous proverb that I would quote.This essay shows how visuals are a more powerful way to communicate and also how words can invoke the same feelings as a photo or a film does.

I certainly believe the fact that images speak louder than words. People often tend to perceive information much easily when communicated visually rather than in words. A photograph or a film with a deeper meaning evokes certain feelings and emotion that cannot be told simply through words. For example, a photograph of a happy family signifies good harmony and prosperity whereas simply putting it into words does not convey as much to the reader. In the modern era, films are shot with a social message most of the time which revolve around issues that need to be spoken. As an example, social injustice is an important topic that has to be addressed in this era. Such a message does not encourage people to understand the situation and to act accordingly when written merely as an essay. It does not signify the feelings and the emotions of the downgraded people as much as films do. I certainly do believe that such films have to be made in order to make the public understand the insecurities of the oppressed.

However, I also truly believe that words can also be used in such a way that it makes a difference in this world. When sentences are framed in a way that it attracts the reader, it stays in the mind for a longer period of time. At the same time, they have to be written in a way that it indulges the reader and not be mundane or redundant throughout.

Therefore, I agree and disagree to an extent on the statement that images are a more powerful way of communication than words.
