in the middle of nowhere

This island is located in the middle of nowhere.

Does the phrase in bold imply negative interrogative meanings? Or does it simply mean "in a remote faraway place? Thanks.

No, that's the meaning.

I took out faraway as you could be standing on the island -so it's not faraway to you - but it is still remote from other people. It is this meaning of remote: 3 : OUT-OF-THE-WAY, SECLUDED<a remote cabin in the hills>
