In the meantime/while/in the time

Hi! Teachers.I want to know, hoe can I say this sentence correctly?
About this scenario,it might sound odd to you however I encountered this situation this morning.
Scenario-My little nephew was playing with a toy car(that car is manually guided,I mean one has to change its direction manually when it starts and it starts when we push a button which is attached behind the toy car after pressing the button the car runs for 6 seconds and then stops)...huh (I am afraid it's getting like a toy car presentation but I had to explain this to you) now my nephew which is not very quick with his hands pushes its button and tries to direct it towards the direction that he wants the car go to he takes so much time that the time period(as I already said which is 6 seconds) of the car to run gets over and it stops-and now I hope you will understand what I want to say by the sentence I am going to write and I want your suggestions on these sentence, are these right sentences.
Seeing the above scenario I comment on my nephews sluggishness like that-
Me-1-The car stops in the meantime he is trying to set the direction of it-
2-The car stops while he tries to set the direction of it.
3-The car stops in the time he is setting its direction.
4-The cars running period gets over during the time he sets the direction of the car to go to..
Are my sentences correct?
I want to know espeacially if my 4th sentence is correct grammatically? I am sorry if my question sounded childish to you.
Thanks!

  • ".
  • "Set" really should be in the present progressive, "is setting".
  • "Period gets over" doesn't work; maybe "time runs out".

None of your sentences is good English, sorry. You wondered about number four, "The cars running period gets over during the time he sets the direction of the car to go to." "Cars" needs an apostrophe to mark the possessive: "the car's running ...". "Set" really should be in the present progressive, "is setting". "Period gets over" does
