In the line.

You say "get in line".
And later you want to make sure the person stays on the line, so say, "stay in the line".

Is "the" ok?

Thank you

Thank you.

Even If the speaker is no long in the line while reminding the other person of the line?

How about stay in "this" line?

If "the" is still not an option, then, can you explain for what reason "the" can't be used?

I did not say it cannot; I said it was not the native choice. Fixed expressions cannot be changed, so adding 'this' or another modifier invalidates my statement.
