In the fold of my finger

I got stitches because I cut myself deep a few years ago. The scar is barely visible because it’s it in fold of my finger/because it’s where my finger folds.

How woud you nautally phrase the above? Both noun and verb form?

thank you

anonymous because it’s it in fold of my finger OK. I'd say "in a crease of my finger", but "fold" also works. CJ
