Dear Azz,

3 and 4 sound much better than 1 and 2. Here's another option which I could imagine saying:

"Not long after moving to France, one day I turned on the TV, and I came across a program

Thank you so much Micheal,

How about

Dear Azz,

You need to add an expression like "one day", "once", "at some time", because your action took place at a specific time during the first few months. Without this, the sentence initially suggests that you are going to mention something which happened during the entire "few months".

Kind regards, Michael
