Thank you Philip.

The problem is that when speaking English I'd like to know why one sentence I'm uttering is preferable to the other. In case of those three the structure and grammar both feel a bit odd to me and I don't know why. And what's even more confusing is the fact that all 3 seem to be OK, as you kindly pointed out.

Are you sure you don't want to ask about 'Chinese custom'?

eg
Tom: In Canada, we eat chicken with a knife and fork. What's the Chinese custom in that respect?
Liang: In China, we use chopsticks.

As a matter of fact, the most important thing at this point is that I don't understand the grammar behind those sentences... Philip said that all 3 are OK... Especially the second two seem to puzzle me. In the second one we have is before in that respect. In the last one is is at the end...

The position of is isn't important, except possibly in the matter of a particular writer's style.
