Agricultural production has increased exponentially since the advent of technology yet famines have not completely disappeared. However, we can suggest some possible solutions to provide a better access to food resources, a crucial need of humans.
Firstly, this problem springs from the imbalance between the development of nations in the world. For instance, European countries have a competitive edge over others considering both farm products and food quality. On the other hand, some under developed countries like Iran or Ireland have to cope with infertile soil, little rainfall and changing temperature which make it too hard to grow plants or raise cattle in these places. Harvests depend mostly on weather which seems to be sporadic and extreme. Plus, constant natural disaster, namely prolonged droughts or floods and violent storms sometimes leave people with nothing for the next period. This, dangerously, result in widespread malnutrition and even deaths, therefore slow down financial growth rate of the whole world.
To tackle this stagnation, governments need to pay more attention to the proliferation of famine-stricken countries, for example, lowering taxes and prices on water to make necessities available for residents. Besides, scientists should lend a helping hand to offer more amenities in the field of agriculture and guide farmers how to fight against. As a result, annual crops will yield more, thereby giving them a more secure livelihood.
In conclusion, starvation needs the co-operation of many nations to deal with. We do hope that thanks to all of these endeavors, nobody has to suffer from food shortages in the near future. (230 words)
