In-service meaning?

Hi everybody,

In one of the papers' advertisement,

In-Service teachers with 3 years full-time teaching experience in a school can apply for the job.

---

Assume I was a teacher from 2005-2008(3years). At present, I am not a teacher. Can I apply for the job?

Thank you
