"in return for something" and "in exchange for something"

Would you please tell me if it's possible to use these phrases interchangeably?

The two phrases are:

"(To do something for somebody) 1. In return for something

2. In exchange for something


A.1.He is offering us such a tree in return for some help.

A.2. He is offering us such a tree in exchange for some help.


B.1. She asked me to help her in return for telling me the secret.

B.2. She asked me to help her in exchange for telling me the secret.
