'in record time'?

Hi,

Please have a look at this:

'Peter McCurdy, production manager at McGraw-Hill, turn the manuscript into the book you are holding in a record time'

=> Does it mean Peter McCurdy turned the manuscript into the book extremely fast?

Thank you very much,

Nessie.

Just as an aside, I'd suggest correcting the verb in number and tense. The subject is singular (Peter) and your verb "turn" is plural.

Also since the action has already been completed (since you're holding the book) I'd suggest past tense.

Peter turned the manuscript into the book you are holding.
