In plain words vs. clear words

Hi

Could you please tell me how you find these sentences?

  1. I told him in plain words what I thought of his work.
  2. I told him in clear wording what I thought of his work.
  3. I told him in clear words what I thought of his work.
  4. I told him in no uncertain terms what I thought of his work.
  5. I told him in plain terms what I thought of his work.

Thanks,

Tom
