In order to/so that

Hi,

Are my sentences correct/natural English? Which one would you use?

1) I made some tea for him to drink.

2) I made some tea in order for him to drink.

3) I made some tea in order for him to have something to drink.

4) I made some tea so that he could drink (it).

5) I made some tea so that he would have something to drink.

The meaning I'm trying to convey is: I made some tea and now he has something to drink.

Well, I know I could just say "I made some tea for him" but still, I hope you get my point. Emotion: wink

I'm English (actual factual English, none of this 'are they/aren't they' nonsense with me). I would probably say, "I made some tea so he has something to drink'. I doubt I would write that sentence though...

I'm all too aware of that gap at times.

It seems that it has started to cross into literature as well... don't people want a challenge anymore?

It's more because simple English allows the books to be sold in broader markets, but I'm writing a series of novels that is going to be so difficult to read that people will hate me for it.

It is more for the challenge of using E
