In order to and so as to?

Can I change the sentence: "She worked hard in order for her kids to have a better life" into "She worked hard so as for her kids to have a better life"?

Top answer

No — it's unnecessarily wordy. Say 'She worked hard to give her kids a better life'.

Nam LuongShe worked hard in order for her kids to have a better life.

This sentence is only borderline grammatical in my opinion. If you can rephrase a sentence with "in order to" instead of "in order for", you'll make the sentence better.

Nam LuongShe worked hard so as for her kids to have a better life.
