In or On or To Scale

Hi,
It is related to math kind of English question. If I say, I want to draw a three dimensional object, and I have to make sure each direction is "in" scale? Am I using the right preposition?

I found this link and here is another example:
"Mark the scales on the graph sheet on x-axis 1 cm = 1 unit and on y-axis 1 cm = 1 units."
This is on how to draw a 2 dimensional line on paper. Is it okay to phrase the sentence like "Make both two directions "in" scale to 1cm division ruler"? Is the preposition use correctly?

Thanks,

Ryan

Thanks,
It is hard to write an instruction when I couldn't hear if the sentences sound right or not.

So there is no such things as "on scale" or "in scale" used in particular situations?

Thanks,

Hi,

I can't think of an example where you'd say that.
