I think in the example above "in" is more appropriate but I'd like to see what's your opinion as well. Also if you know any rule when to use "in a place" and when "at a place" write it down as it would really help.
I'd say "at", but "in" isn't wrong. For places you go to do some kind of business (and an interview counts as a kind of business), I recommend "at". It's the activity of being interviewed that's important, not the physical structure that is involved.
