If by closed captioning you mean the original subtitles it's too
early for them. I'm using VO subtitles (English) which I'm downloading
from a French site. But he definitely says in.

Well then, I suppose we can't blame it on the French. Who knows. Maybe he misspoke and they decided it wasn't worth reshooting the scene.
