I would be inclined to use the passive voice here, indicating that someone else closed the door rather than it's closing on its own.

With the passive voice, you are suggesting that someone deliberately closed the door in your face. The active voice allows for the possibilities of someone accidentally letting the door swing back, or of the door automatically closing.
