in my case

Can I say 'in my case' refering to something that is connected to me or happened to me?
Here's the context.
Let's say I bought a car and soon crashed it. And my friend later bought himself a car and also crashed it. And then here goes the dialogue between them:
F: I've crashed my car! Can you believe that? Just like you!
I: Yeah. But, in my case, I crashed mine in two months and you bought yours just three days ago!
