In more ways than cubbyholes

The cubbies, as the classroom seating soon will be, are in alphabetical order ... The thought comes to her that Donald Zinkoff, in more ways than cubbyholes, will always be easy to find.

Hi,
The above is from "Loser" by Jerry Spinelli. What does "in more ways than cubbyholes" mean exactly? Thanks.

It's a bit hard to interpret. His cubbyhole will be easy to find, because his name starts with 'Z'. So will anything else be that is organized alphabetically.
