In modern days, the most concerning issue is the diminishment of flora and fauna around the globe. This essay will discuss some reasons for this decline and propose feasible measures.

There are several reasons why the number of animals and plants is decreasing at a worrying rate. Firstly, one of the main causes of this phenomenon is deforestation. Some people commonly cut down forests to convert them into agriculture, residential land for their long-lasting benefits in life such as improving infrastructure, building road and train networks. As a result, this could lead to the loss their natural habitat of the organisms. A second factor is related to the impact of the environment problems. Severe climate change is caused by human activities, in consequence, the large amount of CO2 and other substances emitted from vehicles or factories have directly affected the environment, and lead to the disappearance of flora and fauna. For example, Polar bears can not easily hunt anymore, and they can be extinct in the next few decades.

However, there are various measures to tackle with these problems. A first measure would be for governments to promote reforestation and organize educational activities to raise people’s awareness as encouraging citizens to use recycled products. To combat climate change, many individuals should undertake efforts in order to minimise the emissions; for instance, using public transport rather than private one or planting more trees in their regions.
