In many countries, the number of animals and plants is declining. Why do you think this is happening? How can this issue be solved?

In many nations, flora and fauna are decreasing. Animals and plants have an imperative role in human life. They provide food, drugs, oxygen, water, and they keep ecosystems in balance. So the decline of fauna and flora is becoming more serious than ever.

To begin with, humans are exploiting forest resources out of control. As a result, millions of forest areas have been worn down and a lot of wild animals have lost their natural habitat. For example, Vietnam spends about 10% of its forests annually for industrial purposes. However, in recent years, this number is increasing significantly because of the quick development of industries. This has made Vietnam lose plant diversity and some animals are in peril of extinction due to losing their natural home.
Besides, global warming caused an enormous influence on flora and fauna. They are dying because they can not adapt to this temperature shift. For instance, Polar bears are animals, which live in cold weather. They can not swim well so the ice has a vital role in their hunt. However, the ice in the North Pole is melting rapidly due to global warming. In consequence, Polar bears can not easily hunt anymore, and they can be extinct in the next few decades. In addition, under the effects of temperature, air, and melting ice, the number of coral reefs is falling remarkably. This demonstrated that both land plants and underwater plants are enduring the influence of humans' selfish actions.

To solve this problem, the government needs to have appropriate policies to preserve the forests and strict punishment for people who cut down trees illegally. It will make the people know the importance of protecting the environment and the seriousness of their fault. Furthermore, Each one of us should use vehicles rationally. This can minimize greenhouse gases, which is the main reason for climate change, and cause the death of animals and plants every year.

In my opinion, the best way to preserve flora and fauna is that the government should be drastic in protecting the forest and solving deforestation. In short, two main reasons why animals and plants are declining are forest exploitation out of control and global warming.
