In modern society, everything never stops developing. Therefore, the demand of undergraduates’s studies is increasing day by day in order to catch up the country’s trend. Nevertheless when following this trend, they get difficult in their further studies. That is the reason why the pupils decide to take a gap year so as to blow out the stress, discovering and doing part time job. In my opinion, this problem will be given the students both merit and demerit.
On one side of the argument, having a break provides opportunities for having relaxation away from the tremendous pressure of college entrance exam, so they can avoid some mental diseases. Introvert youngsters travel around the world which can help them fluent in talking, socializing with everyone and more confident when expressing their own ipinion.
Moreover, the students don’t want to waste their time to seek for a job after they finish advanced education. For this reason, the youngters use their gap year to get an early job. Importantly, the undergraduates probably save money and use it like tuition, so they help their parents suceed in paying school fee. The pupils definitely reduce burden to the family.
On the other hand, taking a year gap is also brought demerit to the students. Not being at school for a long time make people immerse themselves in entertainment instead of being interested again in continuing their study. They may end their study because of enjoying their daily life. In addition to this, they can't keep up with friends of the same age lead to the distraction of their studies and future plans.
In conclusion, taking a year off is a wrong decision. Young people need to put their further studies in the top and forget the unnecessary entertainment around them.
