In many countries, people now wear Western clothes (suits/jeans) rather than traditional clothing. Why? Is this a positive or negative development?

It is noted that people nowadays desire to become eyewitnesses and participants of a fad, they therefore update every latest trend to wear modern Western clothes. Furthermore, by chasing this contemporary trend, people are likely to build their social circle and broaden their horizons.
