In many countries people increasingly talk about money (how much they earn or how much they pay for things) in their daily conversations. Why? Is this a positive or negative trend?

Nowadays, some countries are facing an increase in conversations related to money in people’s daily life. I believe that this phenomenon grows up due to the importance of money. However, speaking too much about money in daily conversations is a negative trend because of its complicated problems. 

To begin with, there are two main reasons why people choose to talk about money. The economic pressure is one of the root causes of this issue. As the cost of living and houses rise, people may have to be more concerned about budgeting and expenses significantly, which can result in stress and anxiety. Consequently, talking about money is one of the suitable ways for humans to express their stress and minimize their mental health problems. Moreover, money is also an interesting topic for people to start a favorable starter. If people are knowledgeable about money and have a stable job, they may receive admiration from others, which can become a motivation for themselves. 

On the other hand, I believe that discussing money in humans’ daily talk is inappropriate. This phenomenon can lead to unhealthy comparisons and debates. Some people say insensitive words to the other person, which can pose a threat to the health of conversations. Furthermore, saying the topic about money uncontrollably can create tensions and resentment among peers, especially people who do not have high incomes. 

In conclusion, the economic pressure and the interesting topic of starting a talk are the root causes for why people choose talking about money. Nevertheless, this phenomenon is a negative trend that citizens should not consider too frequently in their daily speech.
