In many countries, fast food is becoming cheaper and more widely available. Do the disadvantages of this outweigh the advantages?

Nowadays, fast food is more and more popular and cheaper in many countries. This trend would introduce pros and cons, but I think that the drawbacks outweigh the benefits.

It is clear that junk food may cause several advantages for human life. One evident strength for this is that it would be easy for people to find. People have to work for a long time and they may not have enough time to cook so eating fast food is one of the best ways for them. People can find it everywhere, some people also find some suitable places to sell them to others, they decorate their food stall with many pictures of fast food and attract people to buy them. There fore, customers even can buy them without going out . People just need to choose what they like and take them because sellers have already prepared them. Another reason is that it would benefit people’s finances. Fast food is becoming cheaper, people do not have to worry about their cost because it is cooked everywhere, their ingredients are cheap and popular such as chicken, flour and bread. Last but not least, fast food has a good taste. It has many kinds of food which are suitable for everyone, their smell and their shape can be a standard so everyone likes to eat them.

Turning to another perspective there are also many drawbacks that junk food could have to face with because of this development. First, consuming too much fast food can cause health problems. It means that people may have more risk of diseases such as obesity, cardiovascular problems and diabetes. There are a lot of ways to make a dish but fry and bake are very easy to cook. People want to have some kind of food to eat while they do something else so fry food is the best choice but that is the reason why people have health problems. Fast food has many substances harmful to health, when people eat them their digestion system may be hard to digest. People also gain too much fat into their bodies so they may more easily get diseases. Second, from the previous years, with the development of many companies producing fast food, they have changed the eating behaviours of individuals. In particular, a lot of people only want to eat fast food because of its benefits. It is cheap, convenient and has a good taste. people do not want to cook, they may care less about their diet and they may have many problems. Finally, fast food may cause cognitive decline. For instance, people may decrease their ability to learn new skills and memorize. The reason is that the bad fats contained in fast food will replace the good fats in the brain. If people consume large amounts of sugar and fat, it will constitute a risk of dementia.

In conclusion, there are plus points to eating fast food that help a lot for humans. However, it seems to me that its down side would be more important regarding its minus points.
