In holiday or on holiday?

Hi everyone!

I was wondering whether we should say "in holiday" or "on holiday"? What is the correct sentence please?

  • Normally we say on + holiday to say you are not working , but I've seen i n/for + the + holiday(s) too, meaning during the holiday period.
