in? during? Sooooo confused!!!

Please tell me which of these three sentences are correct.

'In order to be free from the pressure of preparing essay after essay in the second semester'

''In order to be free from the pressure of preparing essay after essay during the second semester'

I get so confused about these things from time to time. If both of them are in any way wrong or awkward please tell me how I can make them sound better. Thanx ^^
