Dear Yoong, thanks for the suggestion and I agree that we can write a sentence in a hundred ways.

But my question was on a different context. I wanted to know which one is correct "in continuation to" or "in continuation of"?

The latter is correct.

In continuation of my previous mail. (The word "mail' is not correct here. Please refer to the definition of the word in my earlier post. Also, "In continuation of" is not appropriate in the sentence.)

Really? But I have seen many sentences with "In continuation to" as well. Emotion: tongue tied

We would like to see how those sentences were written, But based on your simplified clause, "in continuation to " is just an adverbial phrase which has the approximate connotation of " in pursuance to ". You need to provide / develop further contexts for it to make any sense

grammarfreakYou need to provide / develop further contexts
Examples are:

1. In continuation to our previous discussion I would add that there are many anomalies in your observation.
2. In continuation to my previous mail I am furnishing the account details as follows.

Ummmm.....
I personally won't use " in continuation to " in this context, although the bulk meaning is understood, it is not natural and perhaps formal.
If I understand you correctly, you had a prior discussion about something with someone which ended with no conclusion, and now you wanted to reopen the discussion. If that's the case, I would say " following up on our previous emails...."
