in the Bursur's office in college,"I have a tuition to be refunded in full. I asked for a full refund in the sudent office, and i got acceptance. It 's been more than a month since I got acceptance.Could you check it?(what is happening?)"Could you correct any usage akward?

For a practice......
If I say" I have something to get." , isn't this meaning that " I need to get something' from someone, someplace????
Like I have money to be refunded.
Could you clarify my misunderstanding?

"To get" can mean "to receive." You relax in your chair and someone brings something to you. "I just got a million dollars." I expect to get another million tomorrow.

"To receive" is an active verb. "I received a prize." "I got a prize." "Prize" is the direct object of the action which I perform. But I perform this action by just sitting in my chair and letting someone else do the work of bringing me the prize.

It can also mean "to obtain." You go and do the work yourself. "I just obtained this knife from a drawer in the kitchen." "I just went into the kitchen and got this knife."

There is currently a popular usage which mixes up these two meanings. It may or may not be correct. You sit in your chair and say, "Can I get a glass of water?"
My reply would be, "Hey, go for it!" What you actually mean is, "Would someone please go and get me a glass of water?" ("Can I receive a glass of water?") I don't know if this usage also exists in the UK.

Re your question, "I have something to get"; "I need to get something from someone," you are the one who is supposed to do the work. It does not mean, "I am due something."

Granted, there a few rare contexts where it might evoke the other meaning: "I don't know what to do. I need to get a sign from ***." (to receive a sign) It doesn't mean you're planning to make a trip to obtain your sign.

"I'm supposed to get some money" would probably be taken to mean "I expect to receive some money."

"I hope / plan to get some money" is ambiguous. Perhaps you're planning to rob a bank.
