In Between Work

Could there be something missing http://www.blueskyeloans.com/PageContent.aspx?PageID=85:

"Scot resides in Bradenton where he lives with his wife Joanna, 2 dogs and a cat. In between work he enjoys boating, fishing and an occasional game of charity golf benefiting the Boys and Girls club of Sarasota. "

Is something missing between the part 'in between work' and the part 'he enjoys boating....'. Doesn't 'in between' require two or more things? 'Work' is a single inseparable whole-entity.

You are right. It would be better to say eg in between jobs or eg in between work assignments. Clive
