Hi,

I am not sure if the sentence is correctly puntuated?
"For the past year and a half, I returned to XXX and in between travelling, I volunteered at a local university and county government office and helped people with news publishing"

Is the sentence correct?

I also not sure what the real definition of in between travelling mean? does it mean before and after travelling? how can we use the phrase?
