Most of students' academic performance will be assessed in a written form, such as term paper or test, which means If you cannot write well, you have little chance of getting what you want. I mean a good grade. You should be able to write a term paper wihtout making a big grammatical mistake. You should be able to answer the question without making a big grammatical mistake.
