Grammar

In a thread OR on a thread

Hello! I have a very easy question about the correct usage of the prepositions with the word "thread". I'm referring to a thread in a forum, not Java code etc.

Which of these is the more correct sentence?

I'm going to post in that thread about grammar.

I've seen people using both these alternatives, but which is the more correct one in your opinion?

Anonymous a very easy question Not really. Anonymous which is the more correct one I think they are equally correct. I believe I use either one, probably depending on nothing more than what mood I'm in, and probably with a very slight preference for "in".
