Hi,

(1) What does it mean, "to bind things in a thong"?

( from R L Stevenson's Heather Ale:
They took the son and bound him,
Neck and heels in a thong,...)

(2) Can I also say: " ...bound WITH a thong"?

1. It means they tied him up with a thin strip of leather.

2. Heather Ale was written in 1890. You can say '...bound with a thong', but these days I wouldn't advise it. People will get the wrong idea.
