Grammar

in a row

Is it correct to say 'in a row'?
I answer emails as they come. I don't wait for them to pile up and then answer 10 in a row.

Many thanks

Is it correct to *** 'in' "as they come in"?
Instead of "in a row" would "at a time" be correct? Would you use a different word?

Thanks
