In a muddle for ...

Hi

A girl was wounded. One of her hands was bandaged. Her friend went round to her to see if she could gather the food for rabbits.

I thought she’d be in a muddle for rabbit food; but she wasn’t. She ’d

gathered their food with her one hand.

Does it mean: she would be worried because she didn't have food for rabbits, but she wasn't.
