In a large amount/number

Dear teachers,

Are the following sentences correct?

1. Many donkeys exist in a large number.

2. Some rice exist in small amount in my country.

Are the prepositions correctly used?

The prepositions are correct, unfortunately the rest is wrong. Many & large numbers is repetition so should be avoided. Donkeys exist in large numbers.

The prepositions are correct, unfortunately the rest is wrong.

Many & large numbers is repetition so should be avoided.

Donkeys exist in large numbers.

Yes, that is possible, too, but Dave's is better. Yours could mean that they use small rice paddies.
