I gave answers in a reflex for all the questions, and I got shield as a prize. No one knows that I don't know it's real meaning and I'd just mechanically memorized all the information.
I stacked up the files which were in a heap.

Please correct my sentences.

I stacked up the files which were in a heap. I think it's okay, but it would be better to use the past perfect, "which had been in a heap." I suppose the sequence is obvious, but it could use a little help. You could also do it contextually, keeping both simple past: "which I found in a heap."
