In a blaze of clarity ?

Hello evey body!

How did she come to this decision? Was it a slow negotiation or did it occur in a blaze of clarity?

I can't understand 'a blaze of clarity'.

Does it mean she suddenly understood sth?

Would you please help me?

That is what the writer thought it meant, yes, but it doesn't. She meant a flash of clarity. There is nothing sudden about a blaze.
