Which one is correct "it's time I went home" or "it's time I go home"? . According to the following link, when we want to say that now is a suitable moment to do something, we use it's time + past tense. What about it's time to do the right thing?

"It's time I went home." is what you'd here most often.

"It's time I go home." is also heard. This usage is a little unusual and might be used, for example, if the speaker wants to sound more emphatic. For example:

A: "It's time I went home."

B: "Home? But the party's just started! Com'on get with it."

A: "No. It's time I go home." (More emphatic.)
