Improvement

Hi everyone!
I have a question... I know that my English is pretty good. I lived in the States the last 8 months, have a lot of English speaking friends, watch all TV shows in English etc ... but I am looking for a way to improve my English even more.
Is there a book concentrating on perfecting your English when you already have a high level of knowledge? I am especially looking for sayings, technical terms or difficult grammar structures.

All help highly appreciated!

Thanks Emotion: smile

If your command of English is good, no single book is going to help you improve your knowledge of technical terms, in my opinion Try reading widely and watching television programmes in fields that interest you. Some 'difficult' grammar merely involves pretentious language. Michael Swan's Practical English Usage , Oxford University Press covers 98%+ of the problems that face most people when it comes to speaking and writing correct English.

That sounds great. Thanks for this. I will have a look at the book.
I guess it is best just to practice.... the good thing is, I will be continuing my studies in Scotland, so I have one year full of practicing English (let's hope I will understand anything... the accent is way more difficult for me to understand!).
