improve my tenses

I want to know when do i need to use "was" and "has" in my grammar. Hope you can help me figuring this one. Thank you.

Can you give an example that makes you confused? There's a whole lot of stuff out there explaining the difference between simple past and present perfect tense. Basically, if you feel like the action in the past has some sort of effect in the present, you can use "has/have".
