Imported to and imported from

Hi,

I read the following in a member's activity tab here in English forums.

Facebook imported pic to X's photos.

Don't you think it should have been written as follows?

Facebook exported pic to X's photos. OR
X's photos imported pic from Facebook.

I think it's normally said 'imported to' and 'exported from', not 'imported to' and 'exported from'. Would you agree?

Please advise. Thanks.

I think you mixed up your last line? "imported to" is possible, provided the subject is the receiver. "exported from" is also possible, provided the subject is the sender.

AnonymousThe sentence "Facebook imported pic to X's photos" can only be correct if "X's photos" is located within Facebook, eg. tabs or sub-sections in Facebook, if any.
Yes, exactly. If "X's photos" is not a part of Facebook then the verb should be "exported".
