Imply vs implies

I understand the answer to the previous question but is there a rule with regard to the plurality of the subject. I have always understood that a plural subject means using imply and a singular subject means using implies.

eg My activity implies that I need always to be busy or My activities imply that I need always to be busy

What does this imply? It implies that I might be ADD. Both singular subjects.

Thank you
