Vocabulary

Immediately(chess context)

Hi.
Why did the author say
After winning material, don't immediately attack your opponent. Instead calmly consolidate your position[..]
and not
[...] don't prematurely attack your opponent[,,]
Or used a word that implies haste and not proper preparation?

Thanks in advance

So what's the difference between 'immediately' and 'prematurely' here?

immediately has to have a specific point in time as a time reference.

prematurely needs a set of circumstances that define the condition.
My baby was born prematurely and had to be put in an incubator. (Before the normal 9-month gestation period.)
