Vocabulary

immediately and instantly

Hello,
I'd like to compare and contrast the adverbs above. I associate "instantly" with "in a blink of an eye". However, would there be any significant difference between them in:
- He did not immediately/instantly realize how serious the situation was.

Instantly's probably stronger, but how much stronger?

Thank you.

One last question. Does "She's a good singer and knows immediately whether someone's talented or not" sound fine?

Thank you, Mr. M.
